Interesting Trends in ADR and Bookings for First Half of 2017


Most travel segments are experiencing inconsistencies in numbers despite positive numbers in average daily rates and bookings, with the only exception being transient leisure travel. Hospitality Upgrade recently published numbers from TravelClick's June 2017 North American Hospitality Review, and it appears that transient business travel is up 1.5% while bookings are down the same percentage. TravelClick's senior industry analyst John Hach warns hotels to be weary of possible sporadic booking trends as we head into the second half of 2017, especially during the summer months.
