Announced by Green Lodging News, the Javits Center has released its first sustainability report, a total of 31 pages describing the venues attempts to transition to green. The Javits Center now boasts the 2nd largest green roof in the country, and has been proven to be a wildlife sanctuary for 26 different species of bird in the city. Among other efforts, the venue has installed a new lighting system that assists with energy conservation, and established new partnerships with educational and community institutions such as Drexel University and NYC Feral Cat Alliance.
